He was subsequently promoted to the position of Chief of US Pretrial Services for the Eastern District of NC, a position he held until his retirement in 2004.
He and his wife moved to Garner, NC in 1988 where he still resides. He became interested in local government and was elected to his first term on the Garner Town Council in 2007.After serving three terms on the Council, he was elected Mayor of the Town in 2019. Upon completion of his four year term in 2023 he decided to “retire” from local government.
Desiring to remain active in his community and to seek other avenues of service, he was invited by town resident and friend, Rod Poole to consider serving as a board member for GMF. Upon acceptance to the Board, he attended his first meeting in January 2024. He anticipates working closely with board members to enhance and promote the goals and objectives of GMF.
