I am excited about the opportunity to contribute to the important work of the Governor Morehead Board. Throughout my career, I have consistently focused on fostering inclusion, empowerment, and meaningful change for underserved populations. My professional journey in real estate, workforce development, and community advocacy has equipped me with the skills and experience necessary to advance your mission significantly.

As a licensed Broker and Realtor with over 20 years of experience in North Carolina and Maryland, I have helped build strong communities through trusted relationships and informed decision-making. My real estate expertise has given me a foundation for understanding diverse needs and creating opportunities for individuals and families to thrive.

My role as Workforce Development Manager at Columbia Lighthouse for the Blind allowed me to directly advocate for individuals who are blind or visually impaired. By recruiting, assessing, and placing individuals into meaningful employment, I contributed to their personal and professional empowerment. I also worked closely with employers to ensure their workplaces were accessible and inclusive, providing ongoing support to both employers and employees.

At The Arc of Prince George’s County, I focused on empowering youth aged 14 to 25 with intellectual and developmental disabilities through the Transition 101 program. I helped develop financial literacy skills and collaborated with Capital Area Asset Builders (CAAB) to create a curriculum addressing disability benefits and savings strategies. These efforts supported families in navigating financial challenges and prepared youth for successful transitions to adulthood.

My career has been defined by a commitment to advocacy, inclusion, and fostering opportunities for growth and empowerment. These experiences align directly with the Governor Morehead Board’s mission, and I am eager to contribute my expertise to further its impact.
